CAMBRIDGE WIDE OPEN WEEK

(AKA Combined Ways of Working)

Building on the buzz of Cambridge Wide Open Day Season 2, what started as a single day offering a first-hand experience of life sciences evolved into Cambridge Wide Open Week: a week of life sciences @ the home of life sciences in 2025. Following its expansion to Oxford and London in 2026, CWOW welcomed 5,000+ attendees across 37 venues, bringing together 250+ companies and delivering 280+ sessions.

CWOW is a bottom-up, grassroots and community-driven celebration of the UK life sciences ecosystem. From 10–18 June 2027, CWOW returns for Season 3, extending its reach to Manchester and Norwich and bringing more people, places and companies together to share the spirit and buzz of life sciences.

We will have a mix of investor showcases, conferences, panels, talks, tours, masterclasses, discussions, breakfast/lunch/evening receptions, a summer garden party, a community day, a biotech bikers event and more!

BE CURIOUS

CWOW opens the UK’s life sciences ecosystem wide, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the people, places and companies shaping its future across Cambridge, Oxford, London, Manchester and Norwich.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, investor, academic, policymaker, life sciences professional or local resident simply curious to see what’s happening inside, CWOW welcomes you to explore, connect and experience the spirit and buzz of Cambridge and the UK’s wider life sciences ecosystem first-hand!

We are delighted to be part of the Open Cambridge event. The Greater Cambridge region is at the centre of one of the most exciting science and technology clusters in the world.

Harriet Fear MBE

Harriet Fear Associates Ltd

We had about 70 people turning up from the local community which was a really nice piece of engagement. It is something we may do from time to time but the wider Cambridge coverage that Cambridge Wide Open Day enabled really brought it to another dimension. Really well done to you and the team.

Aline Charpentier

Bruntwood SciTech

Open Cambridge is the most important initiative for the local technology ecosystem since the founding of the Cambridge Network. It’s critical to erode barriers and nurture connections across science, tech and biotech as well as the wider regional community: the Open Day is a brilliant opportunity to do just that.

Martin Rigby

ET Capital Limited

Open Cambridge is a fantastic opportunity for the community to experience entrepreneurial Cambridge, where breakthrough science impacts society. Come and talk to scientists and founders. Get inspired! You will see and feel what our passion is: Creating a better and a healthier place for all.

Behind closed doors the toughest challenges on human health are being tackled from defeating aging to curing disease using some of the most amazing kit and techniques. This day is an opportunity to open those doors and share what is happening.

One more outstanding initiative by the o2h group that brings together the best of Cambridge. Not to be missed.
